Bestfinder Ltd is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Programme. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This never affects our product rankings or editorial independence.
5 | Media uploads
If you upload images, ensure GPS/EXIF data is stripped first. Visitors can download and inspect images that remain on the site.
6 | Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content (e.g. videos). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the external site, which may set its own cookies or track your interaction. Check the third-party’s privacy notice for details.
7 | How long we retain your data
- Comments and their metadata : indefinitely, so we can recognise follow-up comments automatically.
- Contact-form enquiries : 12 months, then securely deleted.
- Analytics records : 25 months (pseudonymised).
- Affiliate click IDs : 24 hours.
Registered users can edit or delete their profile data at any time (except username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to :
- Access the personal data we hold on you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure (where no legal reason to keep it).
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Data portability (in certain cases).
Email info@bestfinder.co.uk with your request. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
10 | Data security
- TLS/SSL encryption by default (
https). - Two-factor authentication for admin accounts.
- Off-site encrypted backups stored for 30 days.
- Regular plugin/theme security updates and vulnerability scanning.
11 | International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the UK (e.g. Automattic servers in the US), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards as permitted under the UK GDPR.
12 | Policy updates
We review this policy at least once a year. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, if significant, notified via site banner or email.
